Your Wylmi account is tied to your email address. Invitations to an intercom are sent to a specific email, so the address you sign in with matters.
Use the email you were invited with
When someone invites you to an intercom, the invitation goes to one email address. To accept it and appear in the directory, you must sign in with that same email. Signing in with a different address means you won’t see the invitation.
Careful with “Sign in with Apple”
Sign in with Apple can hide your real email behind a random, private relay address (like
abc123@privaterelay.appleid.com). If you were invited with your normal email but sign in with
Apple’s Hide My Email, Wylmi sees a different, random address — and your invitation won’t match.
What to do
- Sign in with the exact email address your invitation was sent to.
- If you use Sign in with Apple, choose “Share My Email” (not Hide My Email), or sign in with that email directly, so it matches your invitation.
- Already signed in with the wrong address? Sign out and sign back in with the invited email, or ask the intercom owner to re-invite the address you actually use.
